Our Sister company Allingham Holdings Limited were very excited to be showing their range at the Furniture China 2014.

This year's furniture fair was a great success with much interest shown from many countries: Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Egypt, Dubai, South Africa and Brazil to name a few.

This year hosted 2685 exhibitors and nearly 98% have already confirmed their attendance for Furniture China 2015! There was a 15% increase in visitors from last year, with 98 401 people through the halls over the 5 days.

The size of the expo is truly amazing and gets better year on year!

Our AtlanticCape team recently visited Major Dubai Retailers and attended the Fabrics Intertextile Show. Here is what they found:-

Each store presented it's own unique take on current trends & colours; however, overall the following emerged:

• Geometrics – seen everywhere: from monochrome to bright and bold, from modern sharp lines to ethnic patterns and softer ikat edges
• Soft and feminine patterns in the natural colours were still dominant but Blue colour was Huge across all patterns – from feminine watercolours & Delft, to bold geometrics
• Moroccan patterns were also very prevalent
• Grey underpins almost all colour themes – very important colour for furniture especially
• Oversized generous seating – indoor and outdoor
• Reclaimed materials – more noticeable in case goods – lots of reclaimed pine in raw natural colours, emphasising the dominance of heavy natural grains and textures
• Exposed seams – leather and fabric
• Contrast stitching and piping
